Arturo Jordan, managing partner of Jordan Ricardo & Company P.L. began his public accounting career with large local CPA firm before starting his own firm in Coral Gables in 1982. He has extensive experience in all facets of public accounting. Among his practice niches, Arturo has developed an expertise in international tax consulting, and works frequently with some of South Florida’s most reputable attorneys specializing in international taxation in servicing his extensive foreign-based clientele. He has been recognized by the South Florida Business Journal for Excellence in Accounting in International Tax.
After practicing public accounting for over 35 years, Arturo has developed expertise in the following practice areas/industries: International taxation; accounting, audit, and tax services for the real estate industry (construction contractors, developers, condominium associations, rental properties and investments, joint ventures, hotels and mortgage bankers); television stations and film; restaurants and bars; non-profit organizations; entertainers and professional athletes.
Arturo has written numerous articles on tax and accounting matters for various publications and had made television appearances on Univision Morning News providing viewers with year-end tax tips. He has also assisted high profile professional athletes and entertainers with their tax and financial planning.
Arturo is active in community and civic organizations. He has been a member of the United Way Volunteer Panel, City of Miami Audit Advisory Committee and Kiwani’s Club of Coral Gables, trustee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and member of the Latin Builders Association. More recently, he served as treasurer of the Council of Advisors, a division of the International Business Council.
Arturo graduated from Florida International University in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. He is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Cuban American Certified Public Accountants, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Ed Ricardo became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida in May 1986. He started his career in public accounting as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand, which at the time was a “Big 8” public accounting firm and later worked at local CPA firms before forming his own firm in 1990. Prior to the formation of Jordan, Ricardo & Company P.L. in January 2014, Ricardo was a partner with Jordan Castellon Ricardo, P.L. since June 2003. He was the Director of Business Valuations at CBIZ Accounting, Tax & Advisory of South Florida (a Florida subsidiary of Century Business Services, the nation’s 7th largest accounting firm), where he was a Manager from 1997 to 2002. He has extensive experience in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, taxation, business valuations and litigation support. Ed’s experience also includes providing financial analysis to attorneys regarding insurance claim matters and representing clients in tax controversy matters before the IRS and other taxing authorities.
Ed has written numerous articles on tax and accounting matters for various publications, including the Miami Herald, and had made television appearances on NBC 6 Today in South Florida providing viewers with year-end tax tips. He has been quoted in the Miami Herald’s Business Sections on numerous occasions regarding tax issues.
Ed’s speaking engagements include presentations before the Cuban-American CPA Association and the Association of General Contractors (AGC) on Business Valuation topics. He was also a guest speaker at the Greater Miami Dental Society on financial planning matters. Ed was a member of the 11th Judicial Circuit of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee.
Ed is a graduate of Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. In addition to his CPA designation, he is accredited in Business Valuations (“ABV”) and is certified in Financial Forensics (“CFF”) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Ed is a member of the AICPA and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

Roger L. Tovar, partner of Jordan Ricardo & Company P.L., started his accounting career in 1993 working for a manufacturing company and gained expertise in production and cost accounting. He later entered the aviation industry serving as controller. Roger began his career in public accounting in 2001 with Carlos M. Castellon, P.A., which subsequently merged into Jordan Castellon Ricardo P.L. in June 2003. He became a partner at Jordan Ricardo & Company P.L in 2014. Roger has also served as CFO for a multi-million dollar real estate investment company managing all aspects of the accounting process in the Company’s operations such as acquisitions, construction and property management.
With over 21 years of experience in both public and private accounting, Roger has developed extensive knowledge in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, taxation and international tax, servicing a wide range of industries including retail, wholesale, manufacturing, aviation (brokers and repair stations), real estate (construction contractors, developers, property management, real estate brokers, rental properties and investments) and in the service industry including trucking and warehouse services. Roger has made presentations regarding certain international tax issues for Spanish speaking audience.
Roger graduated from Florida International University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in taxation. He is a member of the AICPA and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
Director of Taxation
Matthew Hartmann is Director of Taxation at Jordan Ricardo & Company, P.L. He has extensive experience in business and individual income taxation, general accounting and business valuation. Hartmann also manages engagements in the area of trust, estate and gift tax matters, and he takes a special interest in the field of personal finance.
Prior to joining Jordan Ricardo & Company, P.L., Hartmann handled tax consulting and compliance projects and business valuations at CBIZ McClain Accounting, Tax Advisory, Inc. Hartmann became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992.
Hartmann has attended numerous seminars and conferences both on a local and a national level. Hartmann has also made presentations to groups interested in tax or business valuation issues. He holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida.
